Patricia King, a member of gospel group, Midnight Crew, has established her own record label, GPK Records.
Patricia, who has been in the music industry for over two decades, said establishing the label is part of efforts to give back to the society. Through GPK Music outfit, she has been organising events, music workshops and training sessions.
She has signed Doris Dumah as the first artiste on the label. The outfit is exclusive to gospel singers.
Doris, Entertainment Cafe gathered, has been a backup singer to many musicians. According to Patricia, “I am absolutely delighted to make Doris the first signing to GPK Records. Aside from the fact that she’s my younger sister, I chose her because her textured vocal orchestration is unparalleled. She is the perfect candidate to start the label’s roaster because she is anointed and humble. I believe it’s time for her to start being a blessing not just to Nigeria, but to the world.”
Doris has debut with an album, Grateful. Some of the cuts include Arugbo Ojo and Chi’m Oma.
