Bolowotan Eye Premier League

Nigeria National League (NNL) club, Bolowotan have set themselves a target of winning promotion to the Premier League at the end of the 2012/13 season.

Bolowotan head coach, Samuel Olofu is confident that the new recruits in his team can help them to win of the promotion ticket to the top flight in the country.

“I am excited most especially with the crop of players that we will be fielding in the NNL. We have added a few number of players to the squad, and I believe they can help me achieve the target put before me which is to gain promotion to the NPL,” he said.

Last weekend, Bolowotan unveiled their players for this campaign as well as home and away kits designed by OWU sportswear.

Among the players unveiled by Bolowotan are five new players.

They include Shafaru Azeez from Adamawa United, Newman Musa from MFM, Sherif Alashe from MFM, Innocent Nathaniel from Kurtis FC and Nwankwo Ugochukwu from Lamb of God FC.

Last season in the Nigeria Nationwide League (NNWL), Bolowotan finished top of Group B by maintaining a 100 percent record at their NITEL home ground in Ikorodu, Lagos and gained promotion to the NNL.

But the club will now move into the refurbished Agege Stadium for their home games in the NNL this season.

The Lagos-based club will kick off their maiden season in Nigeria’s second tier against UNICEM Rovers from 4pm local time 5pm CAT this Saturday.
