Fuji star, Abass Akande Obesere, and showbiz promoter, Dr. Ope Banwo of 360 Stingomania, were among the resource persons at the maiden edition of You and Your Youth, an empowerment-themed symposium, which recently held at De Genesix Hotel, Ogba, Lagos.
The two showbiz personalities urged young people to be innovative and focused in order to become leaders.
Dr. Banwo said youth can actually gain financial independence by exploring several opportunities around them.
Obesere advised attendees to seek and acquire knowledge. “Knowledge is power; it is wealth. When you have an exceptional knowledge about something, people will actually seek for your services and along the line you’ll get paid for it. Another way to make money is also through your talent.”
Other resource persons at the event include human rights activist, Dr. Joe Okei-Odumakin, and Mr. Afolabi Odeyemi.
