Embrace Peace, Agbede Tells NURTW Members
The chairman of the Lagos State council of the National Union Of Road Transport Workers(NURTW), Alhaji Tajudeen Agbede has advised members of the union in the state to shun any act capable of breaching the peace and harmony currently prevailing in the state
Agbede stated this while introducing members of the newly inaugurated state executive of the union to members at an emergency meeting in Lagos this morning.
He explained that the national leadership of the union expanded the Lagos State council executive to accommodate more members and allow peace to reign in the state
He said that with the expansion of the state executive, the issue of factions among members should be a thing of the past.
He assured that the state council under his leadership would continue to do justice on all issues, promising that nobody will be victimised
Agbede thanked the national leadership of the union, especially the president, Alhaji Nojeem Usman Yasin, for his efforts to find a lasting solution to the problem.
He assured that the new state executive will not let the people down.
“I am using this opportunity to assure our president that new executive will not disappoint him. We shall perform to his expectation.
Present at the meeting were former state chairmen and other NEC members from the state as directed by the president
It would be recalled that the president, Alhaji Najeem Yasin, last Thursday in Abuja inaugurated the Lagos State council executive.
