Injured Gov Wada improves, ADC buried
Governor of Nigeria’s central state of Kogi, Idris Wada, who survived an auto crash on Ajaokuta-Lokoja Road on 28 December will not be flown abroad for further treatment, his media aide has said.
“Contrary to reports, Wada is recuperating in a private hospital in Garki, Abuja,’’ Jacob Edi, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, told NAN in Abuja.

Edi said the governor was receiving treatment at Cedarcrest Hospital in Garki II, Abuja, and called on people to pray for his quick recovery.
Meanwhile, the remains of Mr Idris Mohammed, the Aide De Camp (ADC) to the governor, was buried in Sabon-Gari, Zaria, Kaduna State, on Saturday.
Mohammed died in an auto crash in the same car with Wada, at Emi-Woro village on Ajaokuta-Lokoja Road.
Mohammed, 42, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), is survived by his wife, five children and his aged mother, Hajiya Amina.
He attended Alhudahuda College and Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic, both in Zaria before he enlisted into Police Academy for Cadet Inspectors’ Course.
He was serving with the Economic and Financial Crime Commission before he was deployed to work with the governor as his ADC eight months ago.
One of his relations, Mr Usman Usman, described Mohammed as quiet, humble and caring and thanked God for his life.
the funeral took place at Hayin Ojo in Sabon-Gari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
