After three days of hostilities, Elijah Ekeweme, whose ring name is Rushing Belt, was the last man standing in the Royale Rumble contest that was used to decide the overall winner of the 2nd BRF Wrestlemania held at the Molade Okoya THOMAS Indoor Sports Hall at Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere, Lagos on Saturday.

The grudge contest, which involved 28 wrestlers, saw Rushing Belt and Rocky Johnson left in the ring, but with his doggedness and determination, Rushing Belt  defeated Rocky Johnson and was declared winner of the competition staged to honour Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola for his contribution to sports development in Lagos State.

In other bouts of the night, Scatter beat Big Fish, Hot Tempo defeated Sharpman. Flying Danco took Masked Terror to the cleaner; the Tac Team bout was won by the trio of Mr. Kick, Atom Ant and Mighty Man. They defeated the Batters’ brothers and Vigeo Lee.

Coordinator and Initiator of the BRF Wrestlemania, Prince Hammed Olanrewaju Mohammed, said the organisers discovered 25 local wrestlers that will represent Nigeria at the 2013 Intercontinental World Wrestling Championship, which will be staged at three senatorial districts of Lagos State in May.
