Nigeria Police parades kidnap gang, kingpin escapes
The Nigeria Police Command in Bayelsa state on Thursday paraded three suspects who allegedly kidnapped a monarch and four expatriate workers in December 2012.
The suspects allegedly abducted King Richard Seiba, the paramount ruler of Okordia clan, Yenagoa Local Government Area but released him a month later, after collecting ransom from his family.

“Unknown to the command, the kidnappers collected N30 million from the company before setting their captives free,” Omire said.
He said the two cases were masterminded by a notorious kingpin, who was still on the run.
He, however, said that three members of the gang, Romeo Egbo, Goodnews Amabebe and Ditto were in police net.
He said the trio were presently helping the police with useful information on how to get the other fleeing suspects.
Omire said the command had identified their homes, saying “we are taking time to make sure we arrest the right persons”.
He said one of the kidnappers, known as “Supper”, was on the run, but assured that he would soon be caught.
The commissioner said the command had initially arrested one of the kingpins at his Odioma home in Brass Local Goverbnment area with one AK47 rifle, a telescope and some rounds of ammunition.
He said upon interrogation, the suspect admitted taking part in the kidnap and asked police detectives to escort him home to bring some arms from his house.
“Following confession that he has arms in his house, he was taken to the residence but his men opened fire on our men in the waterways.
“And in the ensuing gun battle, the suspects jumped into the water and escaped,” Omire said. He assured the people of the state that the year 2013 would be hitch free, as the command had mapped out ways to combat crime.
