Martyr of Subsidy Protest Won’t Die In Vain, Vows LG Boss

The Nigerian youngster, Ademola Abe, killed in Lagos during the mass revolt of Nigerians against the steep rise of petrol price last year, will not die in vain.

During the memorial prayer held in Abe’s honour today, chairman of Ifako-Ijaiye council, Oloruntoba Oke, said government would ensure that the trigger happy cop, Segun Fabunmi, that killed the boy was brought to book, through the office of the Public Defender, the state government and the law court.

While calling on the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar to make sure that justice is done on the issue on time, Oke said: “We will fight it to a logical end and make sure this is not swept under the carpet.”

Present at the prayer session were Dayo Saka Fafunmi, member of Lagos State House of Assemly representing Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency, Deputy Chairman Ifako-Ijaiye LG Babatunde Raj Label, Secretary to the Local Government,  Dr Olayemi Osayintolu, and others.
