Lagos-based Bolowotan Football Club and Remo Stars of Abeokuta will trade tackles in what could be described as an emotional south western derby in a week 6 tie of the Nigeria National League (NNL) tomorrow at the Agege Stadium at 4pm.

As the fixtures of the Nigeria National league were announced, the clash was singled out as a tough one, which the players were waiting anxiously to see when it is played due to the emotional friendship and geographical ties between both sides.

Remo Stars’ manager, Fatai Osho admitted the encounter holds lots of emotions for him.

“It’s going to be an emotional match from many fronts. I’ve personal likeness for Bolowotan FC from my days in the Lagos Junior League, having met their coach, Samuel Olofu in Ikorodu. He had some nice things to say about my team which made me to like him personally as well as his team.”

“Most especially for me I will be visiting my birthplace, Agege. There couldn’t have been a bigger motivation to do well than that.

“Besides, this is a professional job and it has to be done. A win will see us topping the league and that’s what we want to achieve,” he said.

Bolowotan FC are rooted in 15th spot on the log and Osho said it will be misleading to judge the side with their current placing.

“Nobody should be deceived by their position on the log because they are a far better side than their placement seems to suggest,” he said.

Remo Stars are third on the log after inspiring 2-0 win against Unicem Rovers on Matchday 5.
