Padfootball: 200 Dropouts For Students Tourney

The organisers of Padfootball Educational Championship have registered 200 students, who dropped out of school to feature in the championship, which begins on Tuesday at the Pako Amoo Sport Centre in Agege, Lagos.

Chairman of Game Stations Limited, Dipo Liadi confirmed to P.M.NEWS that the 10-day championship is designed for the students, who could not afford to continue with their education for one reason or the other.

He said his company will give winners of the tournament free registration forms for  WAEC, NECO and JAMB examinations.

“We are happy to announce that we have received 200 entries from those who want to take part in the Padfootball Educational Championship. We observed that many youths dropped out of schools and are roaming about the streets because their parents cannot afford to pay their school fees. So, this tourney is being staged to give winners such prizes that will help them pursue their educational careers,” he said.

Liadi said his organisation will also give those who are not interested in padfootball opportunity to take part in another two-day football championship, which will kick off simultaneously with padfootball tourney at the Pako Amoo playground in Agege.

Meanwhile, four teams have registered for the football championship. They are Lagooz Schools, Kayode Opeifa football team, Kazeem Adeniji football team and Jubri Abdulkareem football team.
