CWAY Tourney Kicks Off Monday

CWAY- Tigo Private Schools Soccer Challenge will begin on Monday at the astro turf of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

A total of 20 private schools in Lagos are expected at the six days tournament. The opening match will be played between Dansol High School of Ikeja and Crescent College of Victoria Island.

The competition is organized by Atico Global Concepts and powered by CWAY Food & Beverages Nigeria Limited.

Brand Manager of CWAY, Oscar Ikoro said his company is committed to football development. He charged the participating schools to see the competition not as a do or die affair, saying that the best prepared school will carry the day.

“We want to appreciate all the participating private schools for their support for the programme and we promised that we will continue to contribute our own quota to sports development in Lagos,” he said.

Chairman, oganising committee of the tourney, Wale Atiba charged the schools to shun violence during or after the game, saying that any school found guilty will be ban from taking part in the next edition.  Other schools taking part in the championship are Caylay College, King David College, Great Trinity College, and Comprehensive College.
