A t least 40 grassroots clubs have confirmed their readiness to take part in this year’s Lagos State Challenge Cup.
A member of Lagos State Football Association, Wale Joseph told P.M.NEWS Grassroots Soccer Guide that at the clubs have completed their registration formalties, adding that association is still expecting more grassroots clubs to come for their registration forms before the deadline.
“ I can confirm that 40 clubs have registered and we are still expecting more entries because we are not going to sell late registration forms. So I want to urge the club owners to come for their registration forms now, “ he said.
A non affiliated clubs will pay the sum of N85,000 for this year Lagos State Challenge Cup, while, affiliated clubs will pay the sum of N35,000.
Joseph disclosed that any club that fail to pay the affiliated fee in their respective divisional football association is not eligible to take part in championship.
