Motorsport: Nigeria Racing Eagle Unveils African Drivers

Baring any unforeseen circumstance, Nigeria Racing Eagle is set to make history with its partnership with British GT Championship as it unveil African drivers under its platform on Friday.

The unveiling of drivers is part of activities lined up to celebrate the partnership with British GT. The unveiling ceremony will take place at VANILLA, 131 Great Titchfield Street, London W1W 5BB from 1-4p.m.

According to a press release made available to P.M.NEWS Sports yesterday, the Nigeria Racing Eagle will unveil its African drivers, who include Adrian Zaugg from South Africa, Christian Ebong, former Redbull Racing F1 from Cameroon, Nigerian Sam Collins, South African Gugu Zulu, Ovie Iroro and Nathan Wright who are both of Nigerian origin. At the unveiling ceremony, a  short presentation from the team owner and media session, will be followed by a drinks reception.

“Nigeria Racing Eagle is the first international racing team to fly Nigeria flag to represent Africa at the Global Motorsport. This is a historical moment for African Continent, as active participation at the top level of motorsport has eluded Africa all this while, despite the passion for racing amongst Africans.

“Nigeria Racing Eagle is to compete with drivers of African origin and also incorporate Africans into the technical team. These open up opportunities for African youths to be involved and also make career out of motorsport,” the statement concluded
