Nigeria Unveils Squad For World Cricket League

Nigeria Cricket Federation, NCF, has selected a 14-man squad to participate at the forthcoming ICC World Cricket League Division 7 to be held in Gaborone, Botswana from 6-13 April.

The squad comprise Kunle Adegbola who is the captain of the team, Dotun Olatunji, Demola Onikoyi, Jide Bejide, Chimezie Onwuzulike, Joshua Ogunlola, Saheed Akolade, Sesan Adedeji, Lekan Awolowo and Endurance Ofem. Others are Osita Onwuzulike, Segun Olayinka, Seye Olympio and Ricky Sharma. The NCF also named Uthe Ogbimi as the coach of the team, while  Kome Agodo is the Team Manager.

P.M.NEWS Sports gathered that countries in Division 7 that will partcipate in the 50-over ODI format of the tournament include Botswana (host), Fiji, Germany, Ghana, Vanuatu and Nigeria.

In order to adequately prepare the team for the tourney, the NCF said the players will begin a 16- day camp at the Tafawa Balewa Square Cricket Oval, Lagos from today till 26 March 26, while a pre-tournament training tour of Botswana is also being planned.
