Mr. Ndukwe Sam Obu, a legal practitioner and facilitator of Next 2 None, said the initiative is supported by men and women of proven integrity “who share the same passion, dream and goal  of affecting positive change in our society”.

The lawyer-cum-activist, who described human trafficking as a “crime against humanity”, said Next 2 None sticks to “the voice of the enclave grassroots, disadvantaged people and the youth, through facilitating and advocating for their empowerment.

He added that the platform will enable them to have sustainable livelihoods in order  to gain their entitlements and respect in the society.

Next 2 None is currently in partnership with AGN, the Federal Roads Safety Corps, Independent Corrupt Practices Commission, (ICPC), Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) and National Youth Service Corps, (NYSC), among others.

On the partnership with Nollywood, Zach Orji disclosed that a movie to lend voice to the sensitisation activities of Next 2 None is in the offing.

“As I speak, a movie that highlights the evils of human trafficking is set to be produced. It is part fiction and reality.

“The movie is based on the experience Barrister Obu had with some Nigerians abroad, who are victims of this modern day slavery,” Orji added.

On her part, Ibinabo Fiberisima, President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, pledged the guild’s support for the initiative, stating that AGN was ready to partner with any credible organisation for a worthy cause.

“AGN is a responsible association and this marriage between us and Next 2 None is our way of contributing to the enlightenment of the masses. We are ready any time we are called upon to assist in any worthy cause and what Next 2 None is doing is worth supporting. We are ready,” she reiterated.
