Governor Amosun’s House Gutted By Fire

A room in the personal home of Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Nigeria’s Ogun state was this afternoon gutted by fire.

The house is located in the Ibara Housing estate, in the capital of Abeokuta.

Witnesses said the fire started around few minutes 14.00 hours and lasted for about 30minutes before firemen and neighbours put it off.

The cause was described as ‘mysterious’ by the senior brother of Governor Amosun, who lives in the house.

Alhaji Abidoye Amosun said: ” I was not in and some of the occupants just called me that they were seeing smoke from a room inside the building. I have to rush back home and we contacted the fire fighters who immediately arrived and within 20minutes, they have put off the fire.No one was affected in the fire and it was only that room which is being occupied
by some of our relatives that was affected”, Amosun’s brother narrated.
