Super Eagles center-back Godfrey Oboabona is set for trials with English Premier League, EPL, side, Arsenal FC.
Reports from London say Arsenal head coach Arsene Wenger has handed trials to the young Nigerian defender as reported on tribalfootball.com
Oboabona who played a major role in Nigeria’s success at the Africa Nations Cup last month will be an excellent addition to Wenger’s backline that has suffered major slip-ups this season.
Oboabona in a recent interview has expressed his desire to join the North London outfit.
“Arsenal are my favourite club from childhood. It is the club I want to play for,” Oboabona said as quoted on tribalfootball.com.
Wenger is now set to run the rule over the £1m-rated defender who has won 18 caps for the Nigeria national team and currently playing his club football with Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL,side Sunshine Stars of Akure.
