Players and officials of Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL club, Sharks are still in shock following Sunday’s 0-1 home loss to Kwara United on Match day 3.

Nojeem Olukokun’s effort on 55 minutes at a packed Sharks FC Stadium condemned the Port Harcourt club to their first home loss of the 2012/13 season and assistant coach, Sunny Iseokweimah was less than impressed.

“We always worked on set pieces in training so to concede just after the restart from a similar situation was very depressing. The players just switched off and allowed Kwara United score that goal,” Iseokweimah told supersport.com.

The Sharks gaffer however had some choice words for the Kwara United players for what he described as “pathetic time wasting tactics.”

“We played less than 30 minutes of real football in the second half as the Kwara United players kept falling on the turf at every single opportunity. It was really a pathetic case of time wasting.

“It was also a thing of disappointment to see the fourth official signal for just five minutes of time added on despite all the Kwara United players did to waste time,” he said.

Iseokweimah has now charged the players of the Sharks side to lift themselves of the latest setback and put their season back on track.

“We have a young squad but the boys must start winning matches. We cannot afford to put ourselves under pressure at this early stage of the season,” he said.

Sharks have won just one of their first three games this season.
