3SC Tackle Pillars

Attention will be shifted to Sani Abacha Stadium this evening when Kano Pillars host 3SC of Ibadan in week four of the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL.

Both sides achieved mixed fortunes in their last league match. While the Nigerian champions, Pillars, fell 0-1 at Akwa United in Uyo, the Oluyole Warriors defeated Nigeria’s CAF Confederation Cup campaigners, Lobi Stars 3-1 in Ibadan.

It will be a tough nut to crack for 3SC who will play before the capacity crowd mainly dominated by Pillars fans. The visiting team will bank on Moses Ogaga and Gbolahan Salami, who displaced Lobi Stars of Makurdi  when they came to Ibadan last Sunday.

Media Officer of 3SC, Jubril Arowolo said his team are in high spirits and ready to go for victory against Pillars. He said if victory is not attainable, then his team will leave Kano with a point.

“We were received very well by the Pillars officials and we even trained yesterday, so the players are in good frame of mind to take the battle to our hosts,” said Arowolo, who is impressed with the performance of 3SC  in the last three matches played since the season kicked off.
