Don’t Grant Amnesty To Boko Haram —Primate Ayodele
Granting amnesty to members of the Islamic sect, Boko Haram would have negative consequences on Nigeria’s security.
The founder of Inri Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Babatunde Elijah Ayodele gave this warning while giving cash donations, food and other items to 300 people for the Easter celebrations.
“Let us pray for the nation to avert crisis and I want to advise the government not to bow to pressure of granting amnesty to Boko Haram because it would have serious implications on Nigeria’s security,” he warned.
According to him, “policemen must be on the alert to thwart the growing security threat across the country. Everybody should join hands with security agencies to fight terrorism,” adding that “we have to pray against flooding and kidnapping in the country.”
He also decried the poor state of the economy. “People who are working are not making progress. One month’s salary is not enough to carry a family through to another month.
“We are mobilising people who are achievers and those who want to succeed to the National Stadium in Surulere on 5 July, 2013 to pray to God fervently for themselves and for the nation. People are being killed everyday. All these killings must stop,” he said.
Ayodele said there will be free transportation to the venue where there will be deliverance and prophetic messages to the people of God.
