Lagos Boxing Hall Of Fame Show For Saturday

Amateur boxers will celebrate their Easter with battles in the ring on Saturday as the Lagos Hall of Fame Monthly Boxing Show holds this Saturday at the Rowe Park, Yaba.

Nine bouts are expected to be decided as the Show enters its 40th edition this weekend courtesy of the Lagos Boxing Hall of Fame in conjunction with Lagos Amateur Boxing Association.

Fighting in the red corner, Adedeji Tobi of Great Lam High School, Oshodi would square up against Okejimi Kola of Alakotojun High School, Mushin in the 49kg weight category.

In the 52kg weight category, Ibrahim Idris of Ashimota Boxing Club, red corner would exchange punches with Chikwendu Sylvester of Ola Akins Boxing Club.

Golden Star Boxing Club’s Samson Sunday fighting in red corner would test his might against Kazeem Lukman of Badagry Pioneer Boxing Club in the 56kg weight category.

Tawa Awise of No Shaking Boxing Club would be up against Olaniyi Ramota of Always Boxing Club, in the 48kg weight category and in one of the female bouts.

Azeedy Nursery and Primary School’s Wahab Deniyi would step into the squared ropes against Adeshina Adeniyi of Great Leader Nursery and Primary School, Yaba in the 23kg weight class.

Another amateur boxer from Always Boxing Club, Akeem Adekunle in the 64kg weight category would seek to outpunch Olarenwaju Olakode of Lion Boxing Club in the 64kg weight category.

Another bout that promises to be exciting and competitive is the 75kg contest between Adeleye Babatunde of Pepe Boxing Club in red corner against Kudus Aliyu of Tenbarson Boxing Club.

In the second female bout of the day, Fatimah Shittu of D & D Boxing Club would face Mariam Akintunbowa of Lectures Boxing Club in the 80kg weight category, while the last bout is in the 86kg weight category between Sunday Godwin of Badagry Pioneer Boxing Club against Yusuf Olaitan of Glorious Boxing Club.
