‘Oga On Top’ Movie Ready Soon

As the joke around the infamous slip of ‘My Oga At The Top’ during an interview on Channels TV by Mr. Shem Obafaiye, former Lagos State Commandant of the Nigerian Security And Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, is yet to abate, a Nollywood flick on it is set to be released into the market.

The new comedy film titled ‘Oga On Top’ is starring two of Nollywood’s biggest comedians Nkem Owoh (Osuofia) and Funke Akindele (Jenifa) among other actors.

Sources said though the movie storyline has no direct link to the viral quote that has refused to stop trending on social media, the producer of the Nollywood comedy is latching on to its popularity to attract interest to the production.

Within a week after the gaffe, Nigerians put their creativity to test as they made T-shirts, mugs, songs and jokes about the monumental gaffe made by the Civil Defence topshot.

A fallout of that embarrassment is the redeployment of Obafaiye by his ‘Oga At The Top’ Olu Abolurin, NSCDC Commandant General.

Obafaiye has been replaced by Adesuyi Clement from the Oyo State Command.

The hint of his removal was made during the weekend when Abolarin visited Lagos over the recent killings of two of his men during a clash with the Nigerian Police, and introduced Clement as the new commandant of NSCDC in Lagos.
