‘My Rap Music Is Unique’
Rapper Christian Alia, better known as BlackPope, says that the uniqueness of his rap lines remains his selling point. The rapper, who has released two singles, Amaka and Life Is A Challenge, is convinced that his blend of Igbo, Yoruba and English languages is paying off, given the success he recorded with Amaka within two weeks of its release. The song was produced by Don Sammy.

“My rap lines are full of positive messages and inspiration. But, it could be difficult to get the attention of Nigerians if the music is not danceable. That is what I was able to do in Amaka. The producer took his time to understand my abilities and at the end, we came out good and people love the song”, he said.
Black Pope described Amaka as a club banger, while Life Is A Challenge is an inspirational song. The song, he said, was inspired by a ghastly auto crash he had last December.
Aside music, Black Pope runs a clothing line, DaPK Fashion.
