Ogun FA Signs MoU With Rufai’s Staruf

The Ogun State Football Association has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a Lagos based sports marketing company, Staruf Sport Nigeria Limited in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

The sports company is owned by the former goalkeeper of the Super Eagles, Peter Rufai. The agreement is part of Ogun FA’s plans to accelerate the growth of football through private sector initiative by ensuring systematic marketing drive and unrivaled competitions in the Gateway state.

The memorandum reads: “Apart from organising and marketing various football competitions across the state. It also includes training and periodic workshops for referees, football coaches and officials in the Gateway state.”

The signing ceremony, which attracted the presence of stakeholders in Ogun State football, brought into fruition days of brainstorming, planning and exchange of correspondence between the two parties.

The chairman of the state’s football association, Alhaji Ganiyu Majekodunmi and the Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of Staruf Sport Nigeria limited, Peter Rufai, a.k.a Dodo Mayana, said the project will help in the development of football in the state.
