Mass Burial For 70 Ore Accident Victims
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) on Tuesday said the mass burial for the 70 accident victims at Ugbogui, Edo, earlier scheduled for Wednesday would hold on Saturday, April 13.
This was contained in a statement signed by Mr Kenneth Nwaegbe, the Edo sector commander, FRSC in Benin.
It reads: “FRSC once again sympathises with all the relations of the victims of the crash of 5th April, 2013 on Ore – Benin road.
“Please be informed that the authorities of University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) after a meeting with stakeholders has decided to organise a mass burial of the victims on Saturday, 13th April, 2013.
“The relatives of the crash victims are by this notice advised to visit the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) for possible identification of their relations before the mass burial.
“Relatives who wish to be part of the mass burial in honour of the departed crash victims are requested to converge on the front of UBTH by 8.00am on Saturday, 13th April, 2013.”
The statement reiterated the importance of Passenger Manifest and documentation of accurate information by passengers travelling by any public transport mode.
