The plans of  GRC Motorsport to popularise motor racing in the country is gradually becoming a reality as the Nigeria Racing Eagle, NRE, as part of its driver debut tour will be visiting the nation for a three day city-wide tour from 30 April.

P.M.NEWS Sports learnt that the event will be first of its kind in Nigeria sport. The tour commences with an invitation only VIP Cocktail event tagged “An Evening with Racing Eagle, followed by the Drivers Unveiling hosted by The Palms Mall Lekki, the most prestigious shopping mall in West Africa.

On Wednesday, 1 May, members of the public will have an interactive session with the drivers, try the racing simulators, and win prizes, souvenirs and signed autographs.

The grand finale is a road show in Abuja, where the drivers will race in a road version Audi R8, followed by a drinks reception.

Corporate organisations have been showing support for the Nigeria Racing Eagles. Some of them are Arik Air, Sovereign Trust Insurance, Darknight Motorsports, Ovation, Automobil Sports Club of Nigeria, ASCN, Tiger ERA, Palms, SRO and British GT Championships.

CEO of GRC Motorsport, Ribi Adeshokan said all logistics to ensure a successful tour of the country by the drivers have been put in place.

The drivers of the Racing Eagle include former Red Bull Test Driver Adrian Zaugg from South Africa.  Christian Ebong from Cameroon and Gugu Zulu from South Africa. The Nigerians in the crew are Sam Collins, Nathan Wright and Ovie Iroro.

GRC Motorsport started as an elite motorsports’ club based in United Kingdom with its membership from the global African community. The club offers its members the opportunity to participate in a variety of ways across a wide range of motorsports activities and events.
