Confed Cup: Rangers To Miss Mba, Agbim
Service to the two national teams will force the Enugu Ranger, the Flying Antelopes to play without four of their key players in the Confederation Cup.
The Flying Antelopes lost 3-1 to Recreativo de Libolo last weekend in the second leg second round of the CAF Champions League and will now play in the Confederation Cup whose draw comes up today in Egypt.
The players are Sunday, Mba, Chigozie Agbim, Emeka Eze and Alhaji Gero.
Mba, Agbim and Eze have been invited for the training camp of the Super Eagles in Germany before the friendly game against Mexico in the United States of America and the World Cup qualifiers, while Alhaji Gero is in the U-20 side that will also travel to Germany for a training tour.
The first leg of the Confederation Cup matches will be played during the weekend of 17-19 May, while the return leg will take place during the dates of 31 May -2 June.
The delegation of home-based professionals and officials will depart Nigeria on the night of 16 May for two weeks of training in Nuremberg, Germany.
Also, players and officials of the Flying Eagles will leave for a training camp in Germany on Saturday, 11 May.
Rangers will now have to do without the four players for both legs of the Confederation Cup.
