DStv League: Debut Win Excites Customs’ Coach

Assistant coach of Customs of Lagos, Muhammed Abba has expressed his satisfaction over his team’s hard earned victory against Comets of Lagos in the DStv Basketball League match played on Saturday at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos.

Prior to their Week 3 matches on Saturday, Customs had suffered consecutive defeats in all the four matches they played against Dodan Warriors and Islanders Clubs of Lagos.

Speaking after the 76-59 points victory against Coach Ayo Bakare-led Comets, Abba, who deputised for Head Coach, Nnaji Scott, said their victory against the former champions  was well  deserved, adding that the victory would inspire his players to record more victories in their next matches.

“It is high time we win our first match after all the loses we’ve recorded since the start of the new season. We have been working hard to stop the jinx and now that we have finally recorded our first win against a very tough Comets side, I hope it will be a start of new beginning for my team,” an elated coach Abba stated on his way out of the stadium on Saturday.

Custom next match is against Union Bank in Lagos.
