Music fans and Star Lager Beer lovers across Nigeria are in for an amazing time on this year’s Star Trek as top music stars are billed to perform at the highly anticipated 10-city musical concert.
At a star-studded sign-on ceremony held at Rhapsody’s Lounge, Victoria Island, Lagos on 22 May, to officially herald the gigs, the top artistes and the host cities were unveiled.
Headlining the concerts this year are 2Face Idibia, D’Banj, PSquare, Ice Prince, Tiwa Savage, Sound Sultan, Naeto C and M.I.
Other big names expected to perform are K.C, Timaya, Wande Coal, Obesere, Mr Raw, Dr Sid, and J Martins.
Fast rising hitmakers such as Seyi Shey, Kas, Phyno, Yinka Best, Olamide, Juke Box, Da Beatz and Crystalz will also thrill fun lovers at various venues of the concerts.
Star Trek 2013 will span 10 weeks and it will kick off on Saturday 8 June at Festac, Lagos, and move through other Nigerian cities, namely Aba, Abeokuta, Agege, Lagos, Asaba, Enugu, Lokoja, Nnewi, Owerri, Lokoja, and culminate in another massive gig in Victoria Island, Lagos on 10 August.
Speaking at the sign-on ceremony, Edem Vindah, Corporate Media and Public Relations Manager, Nigerian Breweries Plc, said Star is always keen on giving back to its loyal consumers.
He said Star Trek is one of those avenues to pay back and give them top range entertainment and fun.
Vindah said adequate security has been arranged at all the venues for a wonderful moment during and after the concerts.
The exclusive sign-on event witnessed celebrities, industry top shots, consumers as well as Nigerian and international media practitioners in attendance.
