The Flying Eagles will depart for Toulon, France, Monday evening from Munich, Germany.
The team of 30 players and 10 officials will leave Elfershausen, where they have been training for about two weeks, by 9 a.m local time on Monday for the four-hour bus ride to Munich.
The team’s Media Officer, Samm Audu, said in a statement on Sunday that the team will then fly to Marseille by 3.45pm local time and then go by road to Toulon in a trip expected to take them about two hours.
The Nigerian team had been training for about two weeks in Elfershausen in preparation for their trip to Toulon.
They will be participating in the Toulon invitational tournament as part of their preparations for the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup scheduled to begin in Turkey in June.
The Flying Eagles will open their Toulon campaign against defending champions Mexico on Wednesday. Kick-off time is 5.30pm local, which is 4.30pm Nigerian time.
On 2 June, they face Belgium and two days later they battle world champions Brazil, who incidentally did not qualify for next month’s FIFA U20 World Cup in Turkey.
Their final group game is on 6 June against Portugal, who they will also face in their opening World Cup Group B match on 21 June in Kayseri.
The team are expected to announce a final 21-man squad on 7 June.
The Flying Eagles will fly out of Germany to Turkey on 17 June.
