Amosun Swears in 7 new permanent secretaries

Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State, southwest, Nigeria today swore
in seven new Permanent Secretaries with a charge to them to unite
various departments in their ministries in line with the
administration’s mission to rebuild.
The new permanent secretaries are:Dr. Gabriel Daisi Odeniyi (Health),
Mrs Modupe Abisoye Olurin (Health Management Board), Mr Ayoola Adeniyi
Adesanya (OGEGEP),Mrs Adesola Abiodun Shobayo (Justice), Mrs Olowomi
Moyosore Adetona (Youth and Sports), Mr Adesina Saliu Badmus (Bureau
of State Pension Board) and Mr Ayotunde Adisa Kolawole(Bureau of Local
Pension Board).
The governor maintained that the appointment is necessary and timely,
considering the recent vacuum created in the civil service by the
retirement of some Permanent Secretaries who have attained retirement
age.
In his address at the event which was held at the Executive Chamber,
Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, Amosun said, “the new developments that you are
witnessing in our public service in terms of training, posting and
motivation are aimed at strengthening the Ogun State Public Service
and ensuring good governance for the good people of our dear State”.
Amosun however reiterated his commitment to the development of all
sectors of the economy of the State, promising to ensure the provision
of the ambience needed for the optimal development of the State and
its people.
He reminded the newly sworn in Permanent Secretaries that their
elevation is a call to greater service which demanded higher
dedication, adding that, “as you implant your footprints in the sand
of our State’s development process, it is my belief that you will not
disappoint the people of Ogun State whose trust is being vested in you
today”, Amosun charged.
The governor used the opportunity to commend the retired Permanent
Secretaries for their meritorious services to the government and good
people of the State and prayed that they will all live to enjoy the
benefits of their service.
