Athletics: Blake out of World Championship

Reigning 100 metre world champ Yohan Blake has withdrawn from next month’s World Athletics Championships in Moscow with a hamstring injury.

The 23-year-old Jamaican has been bothered by a sore hamstring since April when he competed in the Utech Classic.

The injury also forced him to miss last month’s Jamaican trials.

The 14th World Championships in Athletics are scheduled to be held in Moscow, Russia from 10–18 August 2013.
