Overland Airways, Nigeria’s commercial airline with the smallest aircraft has increased its flight frequencies from the country’s hinterland to Nigeria’s most visited cities of Lagos and Abuja.
While most commercial airlines in Nigeria fly from big cities to big cities, Overland Airways airlifts passengers from big cities to the hinterland and from the hinterland to big cities.
The airline ferries passengers from cities such as Ibadan in Oyo State, southwest Nigeria or Asaba in Delta State, south-south Nigeria to the commercial city of Lagos and Abuja, the Nigerian capital.
Overland said in a statement that it has now increased flights from Ibadan to Abuja, Ibadan to Lagos, Asaba to Abuja and Asaba to Lagos.
The airline said the new flight schedule took effect from last Sunday 21 July.
“Overland Airways is also introducing morning flights from Abuja to Ibadan on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and evening flights on Ibadan to Abuja route on Tuesdays and Thursdays,” the airline said in a statement.
It said morning flights are also being introduced from Ibadan to Lagos between Mondays and Fridays.
In all, Overland Airways now has two daily flights between Lagos and Ibadan and Sunday flights from Lagos to Asaba and from Asaba to Abuja.
There are also early morning flights from Abuja to Ibadan on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays as well as Sunday flights from Ibadan to Abuja and from Abuja to Ibadan.
Overland Airways uses three ATR 42-320 with 48 seats, one ATR 72-202 with 68 seats and two Raytheon Beech 1900D with 20 seats
