In recent years, the city of Lagos has been widely considered to be the hub of entertainment as it boasts a condensation of some of the biggest names in the business. And it has become a choice location for event promoters who target the buzzing population and their ever-increasing demand for entertainment.
However, when Gulder were deciding on the first location to introduce its new mega consumer engagement platform known as Club Ultimate, it wasn’t the great city of Lagos that came to mind, it was the popular city of Port Harcourt.
On Friday 26 July, Gulder will transform the Aztech Arcum –a 2,000-seater capacity hall located along Stadium Road, Port Harcourt– into a mega night club.
PMNEWS Showbiz Trends learnt that guests at Club Ultimate would only gain access into the venue by swiping their special VIP Smart Card invites at the front door. These smart cards have been programmed to automatically update the social media profiles of the guests once they are used at the door.
Insiders have confirmed that some of the most amazing and daring entertainers from around the world have been recruited to thrill and excite the Port Harcourt crowd on Friday at the event.
However, only a few names have been revealed so far: the host, Denrele Edun; the VJ from South African-based musical TV station, Channel O.
The two other names are those of the performers who will be behind the wheel of steel. They are DJ Humility, one of Lagos’ finest celebrity and resident DJ at Rhythm FM Lagos and his rival, DJ Kelvin, also a resident DJ at Rhythm FM Port Harcourt.
Onyeka Okoli, the senior brand manager, Gulder, said: “Port Harcourt city should expect more fun than they can handle. Club Ultimate promises to be a special night of enchantment and memories”
