Halimat Aitsegame, NMS 2012  Winner Gets Hyundai SUV

Halimat Aitsegame, the winner of 2012 Next Movie Star reality television Show, has been presented with her winning prize: a brand new Hyundai IX35 SUV and a cash prize of N200,000.

The budding actress received the prize during an exclusive ceremony held at the Troy Lounge, Ogba, Lagos.

Sola Fajobi, CEO, Digital Interactive Media Limited, the producer of the show, while making the presentation, said Halimat is an exceptional actress, presenter and a fantastic compere who will go places in the Nigerian movie industry.

Halimat is a graduate of Theatre Arts from the University of Ibadan.

Also rewarded are Bridget Chigbufue, the first runner up, who walked home with N200,000 cash prize and a 42” Plasma TV; Babatunde Samuel, second runner up, went home with N100,000 and a 22” Plasma TV, while Olajoju Muse, third runner up, got N100,000.

The NMS which made its debut in 2005 is a reality show aimed at discovering talents which in turn provides the continent’s movie industry creative actors and actresses.

It has discovered scores of talents such as Tonto Dikeh, Annie Macaulay, Kevin Chuwang Pam, Porttia Yamahan, Uti Nwachukwu and Lydia Forson.

Others are Karen Igho, Tamara Eteimo, Tomiwa Kukoyi, Boma Mac Ake and Zerziyia Wilson.

Donna Diva Drops Two New Singles

Sexy actress cum singer, Donna Adja, popularly known as Donnadiva has added a 2013 model of Audi A6 automobile to her garrage. The wonder-on-wheel is said to have cost the entertainer about N11 million.

Donnadiva started her career as an actress some years back before delving into music as a member of a live band. She has subsequently performed with notable names in the industry and at choice events.

The actress recently released two new singles, Prayer and Welinda, which have been receiving positive reviews locally and internationally.

Prayer was produced by DJ Rockstar and Dwisz, while Welinda, a song featuring Sandalz Black was produced by Goldcruz and Dwisz.

Donnadiva’s promotional tour for the new singles has been drawing positive attention. She made a special appearance at Wazobia FM, and  spent time answering questions from Koddy D Kodinator.

Donnadiva also made another guest appearance on MTN Fresh at The Beat FM with Olisa, Maria and Koch, while she rendered a five-star performance recently, during the Abeokuta Star Music Trek Concert. The songstress, who recently disclosed that sexual harassment forced her to tentatively abandon acting, has not only been noticed by music pundits, but by top award organisers including the conveners of Peace Legend Award, who nominated her for Best Female Artiste of the Year. Also, City People Media Group, organisers of City People Awards nominated her in their 2013 Nigeria/Ghana Entertainment Award, for Best New Musician of the Year (Female).

Some of her previous works include Shut Up and the much talked about single Gaga, which has one of the most creative videos the Nigerian entertainment industry has ever seen.

Zaina Drops Totally Yours Video With Wayne Wader

Zaina, a fast rising singer and Soul Muzik’s first lady, has released the video for the hit track Totally Yours.

The talented singer-songwriter released the exciting video to the thrill of her much expectant fans.

Totally Yours was released in September 2012 featuring Jamaican reggae sensation, Wayne Wonder and it was produced by Del B. The track has gained massive airplay across Nigeria since its release.

The video shot in Miami, Florida, USA, was directed by popular cinematographer Walu and boasts of a rich display of nature with a soulful exploration of friendship, timeless love, submission and devotion.

Lagbaja, PSquare, Burna Boy Rock Lagos Glo Gig

On Saturday 10 August, superstars including PSquare, Lagbaja, Flavour, M.I. and Omawumi will rock the city of Lagos.

The top acts will be performing at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Lekki, Lagos venue of the city leg of hit Glo Slide & Bounce concert.

Other top singers billed to thrill Lagosians include rap exponent, M.I, Naeto C, Waje, Chee the Voice, Bez, Burna Boy and Lynxxx.

All these acts have all promised Lagos their best.

Abuja, Benin, Ibadan, Enugu, Port Harcourt, Calabar and Uyo are cities that have savoured the concert’s excitement with relish.

In the past weeks at all the venues, Saturday evenings were always pepped up by musical jamz from the juke box of DJ Spinall, while rib cracking jokes were served by Okey Bakassi, Jimmy the Hype Man and Basketmouth.
