Volleyball: Team Lagos Captain Hails Mates Despite Loss
Captain of Team Lagos Volleyball female team, Oshuo Christana, has said that she is not disappointed despite her team’s 3-0 loss to Fashola Babes in the final of Lagos Inter Clubs Volleyball Competition.
Team Lagos, who won bronze medal in the female Volleyball event at the last National Sports Festival could not live up to expectations as their opponents outplayed them throughout the encounter which was played over the weekend at the Volleyball Court of the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
Fashola Babes defeated Team Lagos in three straight sets of 25-16, 25-21, 25-21 to emerge the winners in the female category.

Christana told P.M.NEWS Sports that her colleagues gave their best, but their best was not too good enough to win the match.
She explained that she was not surprised with the defeat, adding that that their opponents had enough time to prepare better for the tournament.
“We got the information to play in the inter-clubs competition late and there was no way we could do well in a competition of this magnitude.
“I must confess that we played against a national team because most of the players of Fashola Babes are from the national team. I think losing to them in the final was not all that bad. I must commend my colleagues for putting up a good fight against our experienced opponents,” said Christana.
Christana said that the last time she and her colleagues played tough matches was at the last National Sports Festival. She urged their fans not to worry about the defeat, adding that Team Lagos will play better in future competitions.
