Egypt men’s national team on Tuesday defeated the defending champions, Tunisia 77-67 to create an upset at the ongoing 2013 Afrobasket holding in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire.

A massive 22 points and 7 rebounds recorded by Ben Romdhane could not save the Tunisians from exiting the biennial championship they won in 2011 in Antanarivo, Madagascar.

Egyptian duo of Ibrahim EL-Gammal and Wael Khedr had 19 points each in the match.
