Angry fans of Shooting Stars Sports Club, 3SC of Ibadan could not stomach the poor result of their darling team against visiting Sharks of Port Harcourt at the Adamasingba Stadium yesterday as they rained abusive words on the club officials and coaches yesterday after the match.

The Oluyole Warriors played a disappointing 1-1 draw with Sharks in the week 31 of Glo Premier League match. With this result, 3SC were second to the last on the league table  .

The fans of the club, who were disappointed with the recent outings of the team showed their anger   as they used foul language and cursed the players, coaches and officials for their poor run in the league. Some of the fans went to the extent of predicting that 3SC are doomed for relegation this season.

Media Officer of 3SC, Jubril Arowolo confirmed this development to P.M.NEWS Sports early today that the fans truly showed their anger over the poor run of the club in the league.

He admitted that the fans were disappointed and have the right to express their feeling towards the club officials.

“This is a trying period for the club. Honestly, 3SC were not playing badly in all their matches, unfortunate we did not get the desired results in our past matches. I want to appeal to the fans to continue praying and supporting the club instead of cursing the officials or predicting doom for the club,” he said.

In yesterday’s match, Fortune Omaniwa put the visitors ahead in the 44th minute with a wonderful half volley from the edge of the box to beat Abiodun Akande in goal for Shooting Stars.

Former 3SC player, Gabriel Olalekan was red carded in the 42nd minute for an off-the-ball incident when he nodded Gbolahan Salami.

Salami’s 49th minute effort was headed away off the line by Christian Pyagbara. 3SC wasted a lot scoring chances.

Salami finally found the back of the net for the equaliser in the 73rd minute through a penalty kick after Ibrahim Adewale was brought down inside the box.
