56 escape death in multiple crashes

At least 56 passengers escaped death today when the brakes of  a Molue bus they boarded from Iyana-Ipaja to Oshodi failed and crashed into two other vehicles.

The driver of the molue bus with registration number AGL  949 XG was said to have lost control of the bus after the brake failure while descending a slope around Dopemu bus stop at about 8:30a.m.

Eye witnesses said all the passengers in the molue were unhurt while other vehicles trying to avoid the molue during the incident  were badly damaged.

The molue crushed a taxi before finally coming to a halt.

The police, road safety and LASTMA officials were at the scene of the incident at the time of this report.
