Ikorodu Swimming Club have won overall medal table at the just concluded Inter Club Swimming Championship held at the swimming pool of Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
In the results released by the Lagos State Swimming Association, Ikorodu Swimming Club occupied the first position with 17 gold,7 silver and 9 bronze medals. Best Swimming Club place second position with 5 gold,3 silver and 1 bronze medals. Tarkwabay Swimming Club came third with 3 gold,9 silver and 5 bronze medals.
Agboyi Swimming Club placed fourth with 2 gold, 6 silver and 8 silver medals, while Badagry Swimming Club occupied fifth position with 2 gold, 3 bronze medals, while Dolphin Swimming Club placed were sixth with only one bronze medal. Speaking at the event, a member of Best Swimming Club, Adeola Seun said that having won gold medals at the inter club swimming tourney, his target now is to bring honour for Team Lagos in next year’s National Sports Festival.
