Obey, Tope Alabi, Others For King’s Praise

Famous gospel musicians, Ebenezer Obey, Tope Alabi and Opelope Anointing, have been billed to perform at this year’s Kings Day of Praise Concert at Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Other artistes that will be on parade include Funmi Aragbaye, Divine Twin Sisters and Hannah Sokunbi.

Oba Adedapo Tejuoso, the event convener, said Kings Day of Praise, “serves as a melting pot for all traditional rulers and their subjects. It is a time when everybody is expected to worship in absolute humility and in one accord.”

Obey, who is also the Chairman, Organizing Committee of the event, said “this year’s event is unique in many ways because Kings Day of Praise is going international with the extension of invitation to other traditional rulers across Africa, and they have shown interest in coming for the event. There will also be traditional gospel music display in Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa and Niger Delta cultural groups.”

The Governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun is expected to be the Chief Host of the event with the support of other governors across the country.
