U-17 World Cup: We Won’t Disappoint In UAE — Eaglets

The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria have declared a readiness to do the nation proud as the countdown to the kickoff of the FIFA U17 World Cup tapers towards the end.

The Golden Eaglets duo of Chidera Ezeh and Taiwo Awoniyi, speaking for the whole team, declared that the team are ready. “We are here on a mission and to make up for what we lost at the African Championship in Morocco and with our collective effort, we shall overcome,” Awoniyi said.

The highest scorer of the team, Isaac Success said that there is unity in the team with a common goal to achieve good result with none of the boys interested in becoming a hero.

“We are looking forward to the FIFA Under-17 World Cup with great optimism as a team and I think this is far greater than the ambition of any one of us,” said Success who is the Golden Eaglets’ vice captain.

The Golden Eaglets boast of many talented youngsters but Success enthused that emphasis should be on their collective efforts when pressed to pick the team’s likely lucky charm in UAE.
