Years of Gogowe’s predilection for music have come full circle as the upcoming artiste recently revealed the arrival of her two new singles Waka and Sun Mo Mi featuring prominent rapper Vector.

Currently a protégé of popular singer Udoka Ogumanam, a.k.a Slam, and music producer George Nathaniel who manage her affairs, Gogowe explained that her songs are a culmination of a belief in her lyrical abilities.

What started as a flair for anything musical kindled her passion for classical instruments like the piano, which is her major strength, and dance, which she took up from the age of seven.

Her lyrical style is a blend of R&B and Afro Pop, attesting to her long list of role models that include Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Tiwa Savage and Omawumi. Inspired by her family and friends, love is also a prominent feature of her songs, which will feature ten of such tracks in her initial album planned for release this year.

Gogowe added that Waka, which she singlehandedly wrote, was inspired by confident women, while its twin ambitions are to empower womenfolk and adding to their confidence.

Commenting on the creator of a single that has all the makings of a club anthem given its substantial media airplay and internet downloads, Slam said there was definitely more on the way from an artiste he described as a diva of the future.

“When she is on stage, her sassiness and boldness aren’t masked at all. Her performances are electrifying and she really is a strong wave of fresh air. Gogowe is undoubtedly ready to take the industry to a whole new level and thank God she broke out of her shell because she is obviously the next big thing,” he said.
