Temitope Odusanya Alawode, an Afro classic singer known as Tope Odu, is making a resurgent début on the Nigerian music scene with an Afro Praise jam song titled All Around. The singer made the official debut single via her new reps MusiqGlobe World Entertainment.

The new song, featuring the multiple award-winning rapper-evangelist BOUQUI, is a jam that is produced to liven up the praise community.

Tope Odu, who before now had in 2011 released an album titled Make It Work which spurred the hit single Mo He (I Grab it), said she is coming with something different and refreshing, and not as a competitor with some of the already established singers like Omawunmi, Waje and Tiwa Savage.

The singer has put in close to a decade on the stage  as a back-up artiste and performed on the big stage with notable artistes including Sound Sultan, Ade Bantu, Cobhams, Nathaniel, Midnite Crew and Demola Olota.

Speaking during the recent unveiling of the singer and her new work, Olayinka Ayodeji Awoyemi, CEO, MusiqGlobe Entertainment said the company decided to work with Tope Odu because over the time, she has proven to be an enigmatic Afro classic singer, a genre of music which leans more towards African sound.

“Talking about the infusion of African melody, drums, percussions and conga into modern Afro Hip or Hiplife without any limitation, that is what Tope is bringing into the industry. Her musical dexterity for the purely African genre was discovered at a very tender age where her powerful voice was used in the church choir to edify God and redeem lives and she is on a quest to convey this Afro classic sounds to the world in style,” Awoyemi said.
