For Adekunle Shabi a.k.a. K Shab, music is life. A graduate of Lead City University, the singer started his career in 2000 from the church with mentors like Jide Omidiran who guided him and his group/band.
He attended Anwar ul Islam Model College where he won several awards as best dancer and singer. And that was the beginning of his great journey into music.
In 2004, he started working with singer/producer KSolo who produced his first single at PlayGround studios. That experience yielded two great songs, Lepa Gaou and I’m Just Me featuring K Solo.
The two songs also featured in street mixtapes and made online waves with a lot of downloads.
In 2011 while in school, KShab released Malaysia Money Anthem, a song which further established him as a star to watch.
The following year, he met with Dr Bean, a producer, who produced for him another single NaNa which also attracted rare reviews.
Few months back, he got signed on to young and enterprising Nigerian, Deola Gold’s 23rd Records.
The Malaysia-based entertainment company aims at discovering/nurturing young talents.
K Shab is also a budding actor with cameo appearances in several Nollywood movies. He recently featured in a new movie Oloburo alongside stars like Ireti Osayemi, Mercy Aigbe, Sanyeri and Damola Olatunji.
He has performed in Malaysia and Dubai.
