A forensic expert in the Morbid Anatomy department of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, UBTH, Dr. Ralph Omojefe, his three children and uncle were reportedly killed in a road crash that occurred at Okada junction, along the Benin-Ore-Lagos expressway on Wednesday.
It was learned that the late Omojefe and his family members were returning from Lagos, to see off his younger sister who was on her way to the US.
President, UBTH chapter of the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD), Kingsley Okafor, who confirmed the incident, said he had visited the family and the late Omojefe’s wife has been taken to their village in Delta state.
Okafor said the association has declared a seven-day mourning period during which all members are expected to wear black arm band.
“We will observe a minute silence everyday before any clinic session,” he said.
