Ageless actress Clarion Chukwura is staging a big come-back to the movie scene with a demanding role in Elvin Chuks’ latest movie, Hustlers.
“I had already taken a break from the movie industry, until Elvis gave me a brief summary of the movie. Initially, I didn’t see anything challenging about it until he brought the script and I read through it. I was amazed at the theme, characterization, plot and the rest; I couldn’t help but say yes,” said Chukwura.
Chukwura will be bringing her experience to the new movie alongside Mercy Johnson, Nse Ikpe Etim, IK Ogbonna, Chelsea Eze and Paul Sambo.
Hustlers is the story of a mother who wants to use her daughter to find an easy way out of poverty. The movie has memorable twists and bends with Mercy Johnson and Nse Ikpe Etim playing roles of two local girls ‘hustling’ to survive in the city. Chukwura acts as Mercy’s mother.
Speaking on the relationship with the cast, Elvin Chucks said: “It was a honour having Clarion Chukwura on my set. It was a welcome back for her. She is an actress who understands the industry. Nse, Mercy and others also brought their A-game to set. I will work with all of them over and over again if the opportunity comes.”
Elvis Chucks is a seasoned actor, director and a producer. He became popular with his roles in numerous Nollywood flicks and the soap opera, Super Story.
