Actress Chika Ike celebrated her birthday with primary school pupils in Asaba, Delta State, last Friday.
During the celebration, the actress gave scholarship to five pupils under the auspices of her Chika Ike Foundation, and also gave out gift items such as mathematics sets, pencils, school bags and books.
Chika has been celebrating her birthday with the destitute and school pupils for some years now, and according to her, “it’s like a dream come true for me. I have always wanted to give back to the society; the kids in particular, so I specially thank God for giving me the privilege to accomplish this.”
Born Chika Nancy Ike on 8 November, 1985, the beautiful actress is a UN Ambassador and Refugee Ambassador for Displaced Persons.
She is a Human Kinetics and Health Education graduate from the University of Lagos. In 2005, she landed her first roles in the movies Sweet Love and Bless the Child, directed by Tchidi Chikere.
The Fancy Nancy Stores boss is a two-time African Movie Academy Award nominee. In 2006, she was nominated for Best Upcoming Actress and in 2009 she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress.
