Policemen at the Agbado Police Division in Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State, western Nigeria, have recovered the corpse of a suspected land speculator shot dead this morning at Agbado.
P.M.NEWS gathered that the deceased, Peter Adeoye, was shot dead this morning by two unidentified gunmen at Amikanle Community Estate at Agbado.
A police source told P.M.NEWS that Adeoye was shot around 8.30 a.m. at the estate while leaving his house to an undisclosed destination.
According to the source, the gunmen came with an unregistered motorcycle and trailed Adeoye to the spot where they shot him at close range. They reportedly ensured that he was dead before they rode off.
The matter was reported at the Agbado Police Division and a team of policemen was sent to the area to recover the corpse. The body, it was learnt, has been deposited at the hospital for autopsy.
A source at the Agbado Police Division confirmed that investigation was ongoing to unravel those behind the murder.
