Assistant coach of the Super Eagles, Daniel Amokachi has said that the senior national team won’t underrate their opponents in Group F in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

The Africa champions Friday’s evening were drawn against Argentina, Iran and Bosnia- Herzegovina in the draw conducted by FIFA. Nigeria will play their opening match against Asian country of  Iran.

Amokachi, who was among the invited guests on Super Sport to analyse the FIFA World Cup draw believed that Nigeria stand the chance to qualify from the group, adding that the team would approach all their matches with cautious and seriousness.

“Despite the fact that Nigeria were drawn with Iran, Bosnia – Herzegovina and Argentina in Group F, we are not going to underrate any of our opponents. We will prepare well and work harder to go beyond the group stage,” he said.

In his own comment, Director of Sports, Lagos State Sports Council, Dr. Kweku Tandoh said Nigeria will qualify from the group. He said  with good preparation and commitment on the part of players, Nigeria will go far in next year’s World Cup in Brazil.

“It is an easy group for Nigeria and I believe that If we prepare well, the sky is limit for us,” said Tandoh, the Secretary of the Local Organising Committee, LOC, of Eko 2012 National Sports Festival.
